Honestly it’s been a bit since I posted on here. Reason being that started it was stupid passwords. I couldn’t remember it and then i didn’t get the reset emails and just got pissed and quit. Then you get aggravated and don’t look at the site followed by being use to not looking at the site lol. But I am back. I have an email set up to remind me to come back and make a post.
So for those of you use to snow forgive me for a second. IT HAS SNOWED TWICE!!!! Okay, we are in NC currently and we have been here 3 years now? I wanted to see snow before we left here eventually and we did. It was pretty and lasted a few days. However the bases SHUT DOWN completely. Domino’s couldn’t get on base to deli ever the first night. Good thing we went Paleo/primal right? Neighbors got lids to plastic moving tubs and tied them with rope to there bikes and drove the kids around. Some actually got a little snow man. Funny thing is the mail didn’t run, what ever happened to rain, sleet, or snow slogan? I took a few photos that I will share. This one at the top is my husband (in his vibrams… which had to be cold…) and our Chloe, which kept wanting to eat it.
We are now completely caught up on Game of Thrones and OMG the red wedding is horrible… just saying.
I was going to go back to work but since no one called me I sent a message to find out what was going on.. low and behold there is a hiring freeze.. just my luck. So I applied to work at Lowe’s which would be a transferable job if we get to move.
Paleo update… is shameful. Neighbors brought us homemade bread (which was so good), we bought a Key Lime frozen pie (slaps hand), eating out and such. Of course this means that for this bad month we gained a little weight back, tired, moody and I felt sick after the sugary pie. Unfortunately.. when it comes to the pie I can not say it was worth it. Should of used the money to make a homemade one at least.
Speaking of which, anyone have ideas of a paleo food gift for your neighbors? They have given us bread and jelly. I need to make them something soon. I just got neutella and even though that doesn’t count it can at least be something tasty.
If you go to http://store.bethsoft.com/accessories/imperial-dragon-symbol-leather-messenger-bag.html you will see this bag. I really really want this. Every time in comes in stock, I go to the site and it’s already sold out. How cruel lol.
There is also a journal, flask, wallet and key chain. I’ll take the journal as well but the purse is awesome. I like to own things that subtlety show my geekiness. Then to add that it’s actually leather and looks good!! Granted at $180 this thing isn’t cheap.. me being the type to not buy a purse unless it’s under $50. Could be why I do not own Micheal Kors or Vera Bradley…. Let me add to this that we are a military family. That means both brands are sold in our Exchange for a “lower” cost.. still outrageous…..
Which for the last year or two i keep an eye in my favorite stores for the ones under $10. Same thing goes for shoes…
Anyhow back to Skyrim… My husband got me that game for Christmas the year it came out. That’s what we do around here lol get games for one another. One year I got him a wireless gamecube controller :P. I love the game, which I played Oblivion and other Bethesda games so it was right up my alley. I am unsure how many hours since the game came out I have put into it.
Having a free world to explore in a video game is fun. You can go anywhere, pick up just about anything, choose your own fate in quest lines. Make the game your own and hours of fun.
Brings me back to when I had Never Winter Nights…
I think this is the most difficult thing of going paleo. The amount of veggies you need to eat. Don’t get me wrong… I really do love veggies however during the winter months that list is short and expensive. With a shorter veggie list you end up repeating everything more than you want to..
I have realized we do not like spaghetti squash. Tried it twice with open minds but it’s just not working for us.
Bought yellow squash which is something we have never liked but I am going to try it again.. with an open mind.
So I am on the quest for newer recipes!!
Like most people that don’t own a home outright, that would be number one on the list. I don’t want a grand castle of a house but a comfortable cozy home. No more than 1 bedroom more than what we may need. The living room, kitchen, dining and library should be an open floor plan. This may make one huge room but when people aren’t’ near one another they won’t react with one another. Out of site out of mind and I don’t like that. I would have the money to add an addition if necessary. The land is what we would splurge on. Maybe we should just buy a plantation. Think about looking out your windows and seeing nature every morning. A breakfast nook that looks out over a body of water and seeing the sun rise above the trees. Look out the bedroom window at the fog dense woods where the deer are grazing early in the morning. Being able to take your camera out and have a different photo everyday. We could live off our land from growing, fishing, to hunting.
Volcano’s may be one of the main reasons I do not wish to go to Hawaii….
